Brazil international Lucas, 20, arrived in Paris from San Paulo for 40 million euros during the mid-season interval and has a huge reputation to live up to.
“He will start,” confirmed the former Chelsea head coach.
“Physically, technically, there is no problem. Tactically he must still understand some movements for a player on the wing but these are just small things. He will get better.
“With him, a player will have to stay on the bench because he can play in the place of (Jeremy) Menez, (Zlatan Ibrahimovic) Ibra, (Ezequiel) Lavezzi or (Javier) Pastore. You will know on Friday who is the loser.
“There are a lot of Brazilians at PSG so it is not a problem to communicate. I think he will quickly have a good relationship with the other players.”
