Agger is delighted with the way the Reds have conducted their business.
Following a summer of speculation linking the defender with Barcelona, Daniel Agger seems content to be at Liverpool after the club’s success in the transfer market.
The Reds acquired eight new players in the window, whilst also managing to keep hold of star forward Luis Suarez – despite the fact that both Arsenal and Real Madrid were keen on the Uruguayan.
Agger is pleased that the club have been so proactive and refused to let their best player leave Merseyside.
“It has been a positive transfer window for us,” the Denmark international was quoted by Sky Sports..
“We have brought in players with quality and that is what you want. I have not seen all in action yet, but what I have seen thus far is good.
“Of course, it was good that we could keep Suarez. Everyone who knows his qualities on the pitch, knows that he is a player we need.”
Manager Brendan Rodgers has bought in defenders Mamadou Sakho, Tiago Ilori and Kolo Toure, along with Spaniards Iago Aspas and Luis Alberto, goalkeeper Simon Mignolet and loanees Aly Cissokho and Victor Moses.
Leaving Anfield were expensive flops Andy Carroll and Stewart Downing – both to West Ham United – and with three wins out of three in the Premier League, there is a lot of positive vibes surrounding the side.
Suarez has not yet featured for the club as the striker continues to serve a 10-match ban for biting Chelsea defender Branislav Ivanovic, but will be a big boost when the 26-year-old does return.
