Reds hierarchy sanctions mammoth £200,000 per week contract for Suarez…
Liverpool are ready to offer their superstar striker Luis Suarez a mammoth £200,000 per week contract that will make him the highest paid player in the country, BBC Sport reports.
Managing Director Ian Ayre recently returned from a trip to Spain where he began negotiations on the deal with Pere Guardiola, Suarez’s superstar agent.

The Uruguayan is currently contracted until 2016, but it remains to be seen whether he’d be willing to extend the deal, or merely sign improved deals on his current one.
Liverpool are desperate to keep the 26-year-old happy following his jaw-droppingly good start to the season. In just 11 matches since returning from suspension, Suarez has scored 17 goals, confirming his status as one of the best players in the world.
His manager Brendan rodgers, who famously forced Suarez to train alone during the summer following the striker’s public declarations of unhappiness, has assured supporters that the superstar is now happy at Anfield.
“He is really happy here. He is playing with a smile and enthusiasm. The whole profile of the club fits him perfectly. The supporters idolise him and you can see the connection there,” Rodgers said last week.
Arsenal and Real Madrid remain interested, but it would no doubt take an offer close to the £85m the Spanish giants spent on Gareth Bale during the summer to tempt the Reds to sell, especially if the Reds can finalise a new contract deal.
