Reds want to send midfielder back to Spain.
Liverpool are ready to send loan flop Nuri Sahin back to the Bernebeu this month, reports the Daily Mirror.
The Turkish midfielder is on a season-long loan from Real Madrid but has not featured for the Reds in the league since 11 November.
Liverpool beat Arsenal’s to Sahin’s signature in the summer but agreed to pay a large chunk of the 23-year-old’s £115,000 per week salary.
Boss Brendan Rodgers is now keen to get Sahin off the Anfield wage bill but both Real Madrid and the player must also agree to the termination.
The Spanish giants are likely happily cut-short Sahin’s stay on Merseyside because they want the Turkey international playing regularly, in the hope of finding a permanent buyer next summer.
Sahin has started just seven Premier League games this season but, after a strong start to life in Liverpool, the classy midfielder failed to even make the squad for Sunday’s FA Cup tie at lowly Mansfield.
