Here’s the side we reckon Brendan Rodgers will choose to start to for Liverpool against Arsenal at Anfield…
GK) Simon Mignolet
The Belgian keeper has started every Premier League match for the Reds this term, and we don’t expect it to be any different on Saturday lunchtime. He seems to have recovered his shaky form that dogged him during the festive period.
DR) Jon Flanagan
First-choice right-back Glen Johnson is injured, so Flanagan should continue to deputise in his preferred fullback position. Flanagan hasn’t let anyone down all season, and will put his body on the line for Liverpool’s cause.
DC) Martin Skrtel
With Daniel Agger and Mamadou Sakho still injured, and Tiago Ilori out on loan to Grenada, the Slovakian centre-half will almost definitely start alongside Kolo Toure at the back.
DC) Kolo Toure
Toure had a nightmare against West Brom last time out, and cost his side the three points with a terrible pass straight to Victor Anichebe across his defence. Any mistakes like that will be similarly punished today.
DL) Aly Cissokho
With Jose Enrique still out, the powerful Frenchman should start on the left of the back four once more. Liverpool fans will hope he’s sorted his passing out.
