Reds trim their first-team squad even more.
Liverpool have decided to cancel the contract of reserve goalkeeper Alexander Doni, while also allowing Spanish striker Dani Pacheco to join Sociedad Deportiva Huesca, according to reports in the Daily Mail.
fanatix tickets – Barclays Premier League tickets are still available for this weekend’s games.
Manchester City vs Liverpool tickets are on sale from £29 for this Sunday’s match at the Etihad Stadium.
Brazilian shot-stopper Doni has not actually been at the club this season due to personal reasons that have meant him remaining in his homeland and as a result, the two parties have come to an agreement to end their association together.
Doni was signed by previous head coach Kenny Dalglish from AS Roma in the summer of 2011 as a back-up to first-choice keeper Jose Manuel Reina, costing the club just £1.5 million, but in the intervening years the player has only made four appearances for Liverpool.
Meanwhile, 22-year-old front man Pacheco has opted to join Huesca in the Spanish second division on loan until the summer having found it virtually impossible to break into the Liverpool first team during his time at Anfield.
Pacheco has made just 17 appearances for Liverpool since joining the club from Liga giants Barcelona six years ago.
