Reds on alert as prolific striker made available.
Liverpool are reportedly on alert as Napoli could be ready to sell star striker Gonzalo Higuain for just £31m, according to Fichajes.com.
The Argentine has long been regarded as one of the best forward players in Europe, and impressed with 24 goals in 46 games for Napoli last season.
However, Higuain has looked out of form so far this term, scoring just three goals in his first seven games for Rafael Benitez’s side, and could now be offloaded for a reasonable asking price.
Liverpool are still chasing replacements for Luis Suarez upfront, despite also bringing in Mario Balotelli and Rickie Lambert during the summer.
