Reds submit one last offer to Inter Milan.
Liverpool are still hopeful of persuading Serie A giants Inter Milan to sell midfield player Philippe Coutinho during the January transfer window, according to reports in the Guardian.

The Reds had an £8 million offer for the highly-talented Brazil international rejected on Wednesday, before the Merseysiders returned with an improved bid on Friday that was for the same amount, but with more money paid up front to the Nerazzurri as opposed to their previous offer, which would have been mad over various instalments.
The problem for Liverpool head coach Brendan Rodgers, however, is that fellow Premier League outfit Southampton have themselves had a bid of £10.2m for the player accepted by Inter and, despite the fact that Coutinho himself has turned down the chance to move to St Mary’s this month, it now means that the Italians are highly unlikely to allow the 20-year-old to leave San Siro for anything less than that amount.
Liverpool will give Inter until the end of the weekend to think over their latest offer as they will need to act quickly if he is to join the club before the January transfer window shuts on Thursday night, especially as they would need to apply for a work permit for him.
