Reds eyeing forward.
Liverpool have joined the race for Turkish striker Burak Yilmaz and could move for the Galatasaray forward in January, reports Italian website TuttoMercato.
Fulham and Tottenham have both been linked with the 26-year-old Turkey international but it is understood Liverpool are ready to move for him next month.
Yilmaz has scored 14 goals in 18 appearances to help his side to the top of the Turkish league and his form in the Champions League, six goals in five matches, has seen Galatasary book a spot in the last 16 of the competition.
Liverpool have struggled for goals this season, scoring just 23 goals in 17 Premier League matches, and, without Luis Suarez, the Merseyside club would probably be battling relegation, such is their dependence on the Uruguayan.
Italian Fabio Borini was brought in to beef up numbers over the summer but even prior to his foot injury the former Roma man had failed to make an impact and Rodgers is very likely to make a move for a striker next month.
