Anfield has a new prince and his name is Ben Woodburn. The 17-year-old striker made history on Tuesday night when he became the youngest ever Liverpool FC goalscorer.
Woodburn’s record-breaking goal came in a 2-0 EFL Cup win over Leeds United. As he celebrated, Woodburn heard his name sung loud and proud by all four corners of Anfield.
It seems that Liverpool fans have already created a song for their hero, who currently wears the no.58 as his squad number.
‘WOOBURN, 58, WOODBURN, WOODBURN 58!’ 🎵

It took Liverpool until the 76th minute to break Leeds down.
Jurgen Klopp named a much-changed side and they failed to dominate against Leeds for much of the match.
It would have been a big shock had Liverpool lost, but they came close to doing so, with Leeds hitting the woodwork at 0-0.
However, the Yorkshire side fell just short in their quest to defy the odds.
The underdogs may have been beaten tonight, but there will inevitably be plenty of shocks as the season goes on.

Liverpool were joined by Hull City in the semi-finals late on Tuesday night when the Tigers edged past Newcastle United on penalty kicks.
Semi-finalists Liverpool and Hull will discover their last-four fate on Wednesday when the draw is made after Arsenal vs Southampton and Manchester United vs West Ham.
