Toure has praised the Anfield faithful.
Kolo Toure has impressed at Liverpool since joining the club on a free transfer this summer from Manchester City and has praised the fans for this success.
The defender certainly had a number of critics when the Ivory Coast international made the switch to Merseyside, but has since silenced many of them with some impressive performances.
The Reds have kept three clean-sheets in the Premier League and are top of the table after a 100% start to the campaign.
Toure has stated the belief that it is the supporters that gives the club the extra drive and fight to battle to those victories.
“I really enjoy it when I see them [the fans] every day. I can feel their support and I can feel they love the club. That’s great,” the 32-year-old told the team’s website.
“I really want to fight for them because when you have fans like that, it gives you extra power.”
Manager Brendan Rodgers has really turned things around at Anfield since taking over the reigns at the start of the 2012/13 season.
The Northern Irishman has also been praised for the 40-year-old’s dealings in the transfer market this summer, bringing in eight new faces and getting rid of expensive flops Andy Carroll and Stewart Downing.
The club have significantly strengthened their defence during the break, as along with Toure three new defenders have arrived in the shape of Aly Cissokho, Tiago Ilori and Mamadou Sakho.
This new talent has been joined by former Sunderland goalkeeper Simon Mignolet, who has also impressed at the club and saved a penalty on the opening day of the league season against Stoke City.
