Reds and Gunners eyeing £50m-rated striker.
Liverpool and Arsenal are prepared to break their transfer records with a £50m move for Paris Saint-Germain striker Edinson Cavani, according to the Daily Star.
The Uruguay international has recently been linked as an ideal replacement for Robin van Persie at Manchester United, but it may now be that one of their main rivals will snap him up.
Liverpool and Arsenal are both in need of improvements upfront, and could be set to make Cavani their main target in that position with big-money offers in the ready.
Cavani has not always been at his best since moving to PSG last summer, but established himself as world class at previous club Napoli.
