It’s the Derby della Capitale at the Stadio Olimpico on Sunday, with AS Roma hoping to maintain their Scudetto push with a win over bitter city rivals Lazio.

Title rivals Juventus face a tricky trip to Hellas Verona this weekend which could give the Giallorossi an opportunity to close the nine-point gap at the top, as they also have a game in hand.

Rudi Garcia has fired up the war of words with opposite number Edy Reja in the build-up to the game, which promises to be as fiery and tense as ever.

However, the latter appears to have got Lazio back on track with three wins and two draws since his arrival as the replacement for former coach Vladimir Petkovic, and he will look to extend that impressive run to keep Lazio’s season alive.

Reja will however have to deal with the absence of the suspended Lucas Biglia although Federico Marchetti does return in goal, while Garcia will have a number of decisions to make with one eye on the Coppa Italia semi-final second leg in Naples during the week.

Miralem Pjanic and Alessandro Florenzi are likely to return to the line-up instead of Radja Nainggolan and Adem Ljajic, as Roma look to make it two wins in two against their rivals this season following their 2-0 victory in the reverse fixture.

Gervinho is arguably the man to watch given his recent form, and the former Arsenal star will be looking to exploit a labouring Lazio defensive line with his pace and direct running as Roma look to maintain their impressive form this season.
