Mourinho has been quoted by the Metro, ahead of the pair’s Premier League clash on Sunday. Chelsea host Arsenal at Stamford Bridge for the first time since the Blues’ 6-0 drubbing of their opponents in March.
The source explains that the relationship between the two managers had already hit rock-bottom before the heavy scoreline, with Mourinho poking fun at the Gunners’ trophyless run – something which has since been rectified with their FA Cup victory over Hull.
Mourinho said: “It was a consequence of something, not a deliberate first option to say something. I didn’t get an apology so I don’t apologise. My feeling is to get over it, forget it and to move forward without thinking about what happened, you don’t need to apologise.
“I don’t need to get an apology, I don’t need to apologise. Football people, intelligent people we don’t need that.
