Interpol are one of New York's biggest bands and are famed for their intricate ambivalent indie sound, and spectacular live shows.
They performed at last weekend's Reading and Leeds Festivals but it appears that their fans may have to wait quite some time before they will get the chance to see them again. In an interview with Gigwise the band's drummer Sam Foragarino stated, "We need a big break. Interpol needs it. We need to recoup and go on a proper hiatus," he said. "Who knows what is ahead for the band, I think we're all just looking forward to relaxing for a while and catching up with our own things."
Earlier this year the band released their self-titled album which was met with a warm critical reception. Fans remain hopeful that Interpol will tour again soon.
As soon as they are announced Interpol tour dates will be available here.
