Running back Frank Gore is set to become a free agent and possibly leave the San Francisco 49ers after 10 seasons with the team, as the Indianapolis Colts are rumored to be interested in signing him.
Ndamukong Suh Dolphins – Miami Dolphins sign defensive tackle to six-year, $114 million contract
Chris Johnson shot – Running back gets shot in drive-by shooting as friend dies
Randall Cobb resigns – Green Bay Packers re-sign wide receiver to four-year, $40 million deal
The 31-year-old running back is also being pursued by the Philadelphia Eagles. Both of these situations may be better for Gore than the 49ers since head coach Jim Harbaugh left for Michigan.
The Colts are the most intriguing landing spot of all though, as he would have quarterback Andrew Luck handing off to him and would make the Colts offense two-dimensional after suffering with the likes of Trent Richardson.
Pro Football Talk revealed the Colts as a potential new home for Gore on Twitter.
