With the start of the Champions Trophy less than a week away sub-continental rivals India and Sri Lanka line-up in a warm-up match to prepare for the tournament.

The Indians will kick start the competition in England when they take on South Africa on June 6 in Cardiff.

These two sides have each officially won the trophy once in its 15-year history, after they were forced to share the 2002 title when the final between them was washed out twice.

As this 2013 tournament will be the last ever Champions Trophy there is even more desire to win than usual and it will also act as perfect preparation for next year’s World Cup.

The India squad is spear-headed by talented youngsters Virat Kohli and Shikhar Dhawan, as well as including recent IPL winning captain Rohit Sharma.

However, the 15-man group has the scandal of spot-fixing amongst other national players looming over them and it could cause distraction heading into the competition.

The Sri Lankans meanwhile have great experience in their squad with Mahela Jayawardene and Kumar Sangakkara, whilst despite having a poor IPL all-rounder Angelo Mathews is still an explosive player.
