It’s make or break for Champions Trophy holders India as they must beat Sri Lanka in this match to stay in the 2013 Tri-series.

Despite cruising to victory in the last ever Champions Trophy held in England in June, the Indians have struggled in this competition in the Caribbean losing to both the West Indies and the Sri Lankans in their opening two matches.

A win over hosts West Indies in the last match has given the No.1 one-day international side in the world some chance of qualifying for the final on Thursday, but another victory is vital.

The West Indians are of course hoping for a Sri Lankan victory, as the home side have now completed all their four matches and will progress to the final provided India lose.

It couldn’t be tighter, but it seems the Indians’ batsmen have found their form at just the right time after a superb century from stand-in captain Virat Kohli in the last ODI, as well as impressive knocks from both Shikhar Dhawan and Rohit Sharma.

All the omens point towards a close game as despite the fact Sri Lanka cruised past today’s opponents in their previous encounter, times are now desperate for India and the fierce rivalry between these two sub-continental teams will only add to the tension.
