The Greater Western Sydney Giants could continue their dream start to the 2014 season, when they host the Western Bulldogs at Manuka Oval in Canberra today.
In what is technically a home game for the Sydney side, the Giants are presented with another clash that if they play to their potential, could see them score an unprecedented third victory after just four rounds.
The expansion club has had a tough start to its AFL existence, with its young squad often the whipping boy of the top teams in 2013.
However, the flood of high drafts picks has started to bare fruit for GWS, with wins already coming against Sydney in what most likely be the biggest shock of the season and in round three when they humbled the Demons in a wet clash.
Their only loss came against the struggling St Kilda Saints, with the new boys only going down by seven points.
All of this adds up to the Dogs needing to treat the Giants as if they are one of the top three teams or risk being left embarrassed.
The Bulldogs started their season with a predictable loss to West Coast, however, the margin at the final siren of 65 points did not give their fans much hope in round one.
Another loss, this time to North Melbourne by 29 had the faithful fearing that it might be another long season before a two-point win over Richmond gave them four competition points and got their season underway.
