The new boys of the competition stun their arch-rivals in game one.
The AFL season is not even one week old and already the biggest upset, likely to happen all season, has already happened.
The Greater Western Sydney Giants have beaten their cross-town rivals the Sydney Swans by 32 points.
A six-goal final term to the Giants proved the difference as they ran away with the game to win 15.9 (99) to 9.13 (67), sending Twitter and other social media into meltdown.
