Geelong midfielder Steven Johnson looks all but certain to line up against Hawthorn on Friday after completing the Cats’ main training session on Wednesday.
Johnson missed Geelong’s last three games due to soreness in his right foot and was in doubt for the crunch clash at the MCG, however the 31-year-old is said to have got through the session well.
Veteran defender Corey Enright told AFL.com.au Johnson trained well and was hopeful the star player would pull up well and be available for the qualifying final.
“He trained pretty well, so he looked good,” he said.
“Fingers crossed that he pulls up OK.
“It’s always good to have your better players out there, and he’s definitely one of our better players.”
