X Factor judge Gary Barlow has landed himself in hot water following an incident which had to be cut from last week's show.
The Take That star has been accused of going through a contestant's bag in order to gain laughs from the audience, only to be booed for taking the situation too far. He reportedly pulled out Ceri Rees' passport, following her humiliating audition, held the document and quipped: "A passport? You won't be needing that."
The contestant's controversial appearance on the show has already been criticised by mental health charities and celebrity fans, and the new revelations will no doubt draw more attention to the situation.
This year's X Factor series has now reached the boot camp stage, with the successful contestants set to appear in the live finals in just a few weeks time. The finalists from the competition, including the overall winner, will go on to take part in the 2012 X Factor live tour. X Factor tickets for shows running throughout February, March and April next year are on sale now.
