New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady cemented his all-time great status even more with his fourth career Super Bowl victory among other notable events in the Super Bowl 49.
Super Bowl 49 was arguably the most thrilling of all Super Bowls in the history of the NFL as the New England Patriots and Seattle Seahawks fought to the bitter end.
The Patriots ultimately came out on top after overcoming a 24-14 deficit in the fourth quarter by scoring two unanswered touchdowns.
The Seahawks were unable to score the winning touchdown despite making it to the one-yard line as quarterback Russell Wilson threw an interception to seal the Patriots’ win.
This was one of the most exciting NFL seasons in recent memory, and the Super Bowl was a perfect way to put the icing on the cake.
Here are five things to take away from a nail biter of a Super Bowl.
5. The Seahawks talked trash too soon
Cornerback Richard Sherman was seen jawing at the Patriots on the Seahawks’ sideline after they took a 24-14, and he was mocking Patriots cornerback Darrelle Revis for allowing a touchdown pass to reiterate that he’s the best corner in the game.
The Patriots must have seen this as they showed incredible nerve in their shocking comeback. The Seahawks have done well at getting in their opponents’ heads, but it didn’t work against Patriots quarterback Tom Brady as he threw two touchdowns when it counted most.
Fans who wanted to see karma hit the Seahawks for their trash talking have finally gotten their wish.
