1. Squad depth
Admittedly much has been made of the fact that the majority of players available to manager David Moyes look woefully inadequate when compared to the squads at Stamford Bridge and the Etihad Stadium.
In those two cases the critics are probably right, but let’s not forget these supposed stars won the title comfortably last year and when looking at what the Reds and Toffees have on offer, Moyes can be a little happier.
This is not to say that Brendan Rodgers, Roberto Martinez and even Tim Sherwood haven’t done brilliant jobs at their respective clubs, but a few injuries and a congested fixture list could see the trio languishing towards the end of the campaign.
