The Toffees want Januzaj on-loan.
Manchester United starlet Adnan Januzaj has emerged as a deadline day target for Everton, who are hoping to land the 19-year-old on-loan before the January transfer window shuts, reports CaughtOffside.
However, if the Toffees are to sign the attacking midfielder it will hinge on Januzaj informing manager Louis van Gaal himself that he wants to leave Old Trafford.
This is because despite the fact the Belgium international has struggled to establish himself under van Gaal this season, he 63-year-old is adamant the youngster will not be leaving the club and has already rejected an approach from Paris Saint-Germain this month.
Roberto Martinez is a keen admirer of Januzaj though and hopes to bring in the Belgian to give his side’s campaign a boost, as the Merseysiders continue to under-perform in the Premier League.
The teenager started the Red Devils’ 3-1 victory over Leicester City on Saturday, but his opportunities have been few and far between and even if Martinez cannot sign him in January the Spaniard will try and seal a permanent move in the summer.
