Essendon stand-in coach Mark Thompson says he is no certainty to stay at the club.
Thompson, who filled in for the banned James Hird, is still uncontracted.
The dual premiership coach hasn’t given away much in regards to his future, and he remained indecisive whilst making his regular appearance on Fox Footy on Monday.
“It’s an option, a real option. But I’m also thinking about not,” Thompson said when asked if he intended to stay at Essendon.
“Not doing anything (at Essendon).
“It’s just reflection time, that’s an option.”
Thompson has been linked with a move to the Gold Coast Suns, with Guy McKenna’s future looking increasingly in doubt.
However, the former Geelong coach said he hadn’t received any offers from other clubs to date.
“No. I have not. Definitely not,” Thompson said.
“I’ve heard lots of rumours though, like everyone, but I have not spoken to anyone.
“I actually didn’t answer the phone today at all.”
