After losing 3-1 to England in the five-match Test series, including two embarrassingly heavy defeats, India will be hoping to restore some national pride today.
MS Dhoni’s side, who are the masters of limited overs cricket, will be relived to see that pesky red ball be replaced by a nice shiny white one.
England start today’s match at Bristol as marginal favourites and the hosts have named a strong squad.
Captain Alastair Cook will open with T20 star Alex Hales, while Steven Finn has been recalled to a bowling attack which could also feature James Anderson, Harry Gurney, Chris Jordan and James Tredwell.
The squad also includes Gary Ballance, Ian Bell, Jos Buttler, Moeen Ali, Eoin Morgan, Joe Root, Ben Stokes and Chris Woakes.
