Paris Saint-Germain set to beat Arsenal to midfield signing and launch raid on Gunners.
Paris Saint-Germain are set to sign Newcastle United midfielder Yohan Cabaye, and are considering a bid for Arsenal right back Bacary Sagna as the Gunners’ tragicomedy of a transfer window takes another turn for the absurd.
French publication Le Parisien report that PSG are looking at the two France stars alongside a deal for Manchester United winger Nani.
The good news for Arsenal is that Sagna isn’t the only right back being considered by the French capital side, with manager Laurent Blanc also looking at Ajax star Ricardo van Rhijn, as neither Gregory Van Der Wiel nor Christophe Jallet have impressed in that position.
With Sagna only having a year left on his contract, there remains a very real chance that the Frenchman
Arsenal bid for Cabaye last Friday, which irked Newcastle manager Alan Pardew as they had a game within a year of the offer, and the Magpies would likely rather sell to a team abroad.
