Argentine makes Palermo switch.
QPR midfielder Alejandro Faurlin has joined Serie A side Palermo on loan until the end of the season, the Italian club have announced.
The Argentinian has only completed 90 minutes once in the Premier League since Harry Redknapp was appointed Hoops manager in November and, with the former Tottenham boss interested in former charges David Bentley and Jermaine Jenas ahead of Thursday’s 11pm transfer deadline, the 26-year-old has been allowed to depart.
Faurlin leave one relegation battle for another, with Palermo currently second-bottom in the Serie A, four points from safety.
Press Association journalist Simon Peach said the deal is not with a view to a permanent move at the end of the season.
Faurlin has made over 100 league appearances since joining the Hoops from Portuguese outfit Maritimo in 2009.
