R’s complete mega-deal for Anzhi’s Samba.
QPR have completed the signing of Anzhi Makhachkala centre-half Christopher Samba on a four-and-a-half year deal, the struggling Premier League outfit have announced.
The deal will reportedly cost the Hoops £12.5m, while Samba will be paid £100,000 per week plus bonuses and add-ons.
Samba replaces veteran centre-half Ryan Nelsen, who has left the club to take over as manager of MLS outfit Toronto FC.
Samba only joined the mega-rich Russian outfit in February in a £12m deal from Rovers. The Congo international has impressed for Hiddink’s side but has been saddened by the widespread racism in Russian football and wants to return to the UK, where his family still live.
