Returning striker handed original number.
Chelsea legend Didier Drogba will wear the number 15 shirt at the club again after he completed a one-year deal to rejoin the club on Friday, the Daily Star reports.
The Ivorian hit man wore the number 15 jersey when he originally joined the club from French giants Marseille back in 2004 for a deal worth £24 million.
Egyptian winger Mohamed Salah, who was allocated number 15 when he joined from Basel last season has vacated the shirt and will wear number 17 instead.
Drogba wore the No.15 shirt up until 2006, but following the departure of Damien Duff to Newcastle made the switch to No.11.
The 26-year-old was reunited with his former teammates over the weekend as they defeated Slovenian side Olimpija Ljubljana in a pre-season friendly.
New boys Diego Costa and Kurt Zouma both got themselves on the scoresheet in the 2-1 victory as Jose Mourinho’s side stepped up their preparations for the new season.
