Former Vice-President backs current Arsenal boss.
Former Arsenal Vice-President has brought up a topic that is almost a taboo for half of the Arsenal faithful, and cannot come soon enough for the other half.
That topic is life at the club after Arsene Wenger.
With only perhaps Sir Alex Ferguson presenting a more difficult act to follow out of the current crop of Premier League managers, Dein has been speaking of his admiration for the French boss, according to talkSPORT.
‘One should never, ever forget what he has done for the club. He has absolutely transformed the club. The fact there is a magnificent state of the art training ground, the fact the stadium is virtually paid for.’
‘He has got a good squad. Obviously it has to be a squad that is capable of winning trophies, and that is something he is going to be working on, I know, but it is not easy. But he has done a phenomenal job for the club. He is not going to be a difficult act to follow, he is going to be an impossible act to follow.’
Wenger is currently dividing opinion amongst Arsenal fans, with some having faith in a manager who has guided them to unprecedented success in the modern era, while others believe Wenger has lost his touch and both sides would benefit from a parting of ways.
