Pellegrini stokes the fires ahead of big weekend clash.
Manuel Pellegrini has gone back on previous statements comparing Chelsea to Stoke City, saying it would be unfair on Mark Hughes’ side, according to the Daily Mail.
Manchester City take on the Blues at Stamford Bridge this weekend in a must-win game, and insists that, while he doesn’t know about Chelsea, his side will be intent on attacking and trying to win the match.
“It was my mistake to compare them,” said the Chilean. “Stoke has another style. Chelsea can play the way they want. We will continue in the same style.
“I expect a very good Chelsea, a good defensive team, very good at counter-attacks. We will try to move the ball quickly. We’ll be an offensive team, like we are always.”
