Coldplay have entered the UK album chart at number one with their new album, Mylo Xyloto. The band released their fifth studio record last week, and were widely expected to out-sell rival new releases including Michael Buble and Kelly Clarkson.
Its success means that all five of Coldplay's albums - including previous efforts Parachutes, A Rush Of Blood To The Head, X&Y and Viva La Vida Or Death And All His Friends - have reached number one in the UK charts.
Coldplay are set to perform three arena shows in the UK this December, in support of the release of the new album. Coldplay tickets are available online for the following live shows:
SECC, Glasgow 3rd December
MEN Arena, Manchester 4th
O2 Arena, London 9th
