Coldplay tickets for the band's December UK tour dates sold out from box office vendors within 5 minutes, after going on sale this morning at 9.30am.
The band announced live shows in Glasgow, Manchester and London earlier this week, to coincide with the release of their latest studio album.
After a summer of festival appearances across the UK in 2011, the headline concerts were expected to be extremely popular. The band received many positive reviews for their performance at this year's Glastonbury Festival, delighting the crowd with a two-hour set including hits such as Fix You and Yellow.
Although sold out on the primary market, Coldplay tickets are available to buy online from secondary fan-to-fan exchange websites for the following UK dates:
SECC, Glasgow - 3rd December
MEN Arena, Manchester - 4th December
O2 Arena, London - 9th December
