The Chicago Bears will be looking to build on their road win over the San Francisco 49ers last weekend when they head to New York to face the Jets.
Bears quarterback Jay Cutler led a stunning comeback last time out as he threw four touchdown passes to overcome a 17-0 deficit at one stage, and he insists that they must now build on that performance and forget about the disappointment of the Week 1 loss to the Buffalo Bills.
Cutler maintains that there is plenty of football to be played, but with a grudge NFC North clash with the Green Bay Packers ahead next weekend, they will want to head into that encounter 2-1 rather than 1-2 which would heap pressure on them.
However, they will have to do so with several injury problems as Roberto Garza, Matt Slauson Jeremiah Ratliff and Chris Conte are all doubts, while Charles Tillman is out for the season.
In addition, Brandon Marshall and Alshon Jeffery played through the pain barrier last weekend, and it remains to be seen what kind of roster Coach Marc Trestman has available to him.
Meanwhile, the Jets will be looking to bounce back from a disappointing loss last weekend to the Packers, after surrendering a 21-3 lead and eventually losing 31-24.
The key for the Jets will be to find a way to limit Cutler, and in turn they will use their effective running game through Chris Ivory and Chris Johnson to make hay on offense.
The Bears won the last meeting between the pair 38-34 back in 2010, and while that was their third straight victory over the Jets, they are 7-3 overall and will be hoping to continue to get the better of their rivals.
