Mohamed Salah will be staying at Stamford Bridge.
Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho will not be allowing Egyptian international winger Mohamed Salah to leave Stamford Bridge in the January transfer window, the Portuguese confirmed at his pre-match press conference ahead of Saturday’s Premier League clash with Hull City, despite the fact that the former FC Basel star has struggled for playing opportunities at the club this season.

Salah has found himself behind Eden Hazard, Oscar, Willian and Andre Schurrle in the battle to secure a place in one of the attacking midfield positions, but Mourinho insisted that Salah is a genuine prospect for the future and will be staying at the club:
“Salah is a player we like, we trust and he’s part of our plans. He’s not going anywhere.”
Salah was bought from Swiss champions FC Basel for around £11 million in January on the back of two fine performances against the Blues in last season’s Champions League – but he is yet to recreate that form for the club.
