Chelsea striker targets: Five players the Blues could sign this summer
With speculation that Diego Costa could look to make a shock exit from Stamford Bridge after reportedly eyeing a return to Spain, Chelsea may be in need of a new big-name signing up front for next season.
As expected, some big names have been linked already, with the Blues surely able to afford almost anyone they want, and the options are certainly out there, with these five perhaps the most likely to make their way to London…
1) Radamel Falcao (AS Monaco)
A surprise target, but Radamel Falcao is reportedly in advanced talks over a move to Chelsea, looking increasingly likely to become the club’s first signing of the summer.
Pros: Experienced, great scoring record at almost every club he’s been at down the years, and likely to be content with a place on the bench.
Cons: Only four goals on loan at Manchester United last season and perhaps not up to the pace of the game in the Premier League, having succeeded best in Portugal, Spain and France. Also likely to be expensive.
