The French champions want Hazard as part of a triple purchase.
Reigning Ligue 1 champions Paris Saint-Germain are preparing a shock £34m bid for Chelsea ace Eden Hazard, along with two French starlets, reports the Daily Express.
Juventus midfielder Paul Pogba and Raphael Varane of Real Madrid are also said to be on the wishlist as PSG look to strengthen their squad even further next summer.
The Parisians would be willing to match Hazard’s annual income of £5m a year and are willing to go upwards of the initial £34m proposal for the Belgian.
However, Blues manager Jose Mourinho could prove to be a stumbling block as the 50-year-old is unlikely to be willing to allow the attacking midfielder to leave.
Hazard is contracted at Stamford Bridge until 2017 and has been one of the west London club’s best players since arriving from Lille in the summer of 2012.
After a quiet start to the current season under the returning Mourinho, the 22-year-old is now back to the Belgium international’s best and has eight goals and six assists in all competitions this term.
PSG of course are not adverse to spending big on new talent, after paying £37m for Thiago Silva – a world record fee for a defender – and well over £200m in total over the past two years.
Yet with Mourinho challenging for another Premier League title, the Portuguese coach will not want to lose any of the side’s top players and it’s more likely that Juan Mata or Kevin De Bruyne would be allowed to leave before Hazard does.
