Blues make German their No 1 managerial target.
Chelsea are considering making a new approach to ask Borussia Dortmund head coach Jurgen Klopp to become the club’s new manager next season, reports the Daily Telegraph.
fanatix tickets – Manchester City vs Chelsea tickets are on sale from £48 for the match on February 24th at the Etihad Stadium.
The West Londoners tried to convince Klopp to move to Stamford Bridge last season after the dismissal of Andre Villas-Boas, only for the highly-rated young German to spurn their advances and instead sign a contract extension at Dortmund until 2015.
And, another stumbling block to the Blues’ hopes of landing Klopp are his reported hopes of becoming the next German national team manager after current incumbent Joachim Löw, who is expected to step down for his role after next year’s World Cup finals in Brazil.
Another man in the running for the role is believed to be Everton manager David Moyes, who has still to put pen to paper on a new deal at Goodison Park. The Scot said that he wanted to wait until after the January transfer window before committing his future to the Toffees, but as yet has still to do, making it a possibility that he could become the first British head coach of the Roman Abramovich era.
