Chelsea’s teenage midfielder of interest to La Liga giants Real Madrid and FC Barcelona.
Chelsea youngster Kyle Scott is a transfer target for both Real Madrid and FC Barcelona, according to the Daily Mail.
The 15 year-old central midfielder has shone for the Blues’ youth sides in recent years, and there is a growing feeling that he is set for the highest level.
With the Daily Mail reporting that Scott is set to reject the offer of a contract to stay at Stamford Bridge for the long term, naturally some of Europe’s elite clubs are monitoring the situation, with El Clasico rivals Real Madrid and FC Barcelona named.
For Scott, the choice between the two would usually seem obvious.
Barca have one of the greatest academies ever seen in world football in La Masia, and have a much better track record of bringing through young talent than Real Madrid – particularly in the last few years with Jose Mourinho as manager.
However, new Whites boss Carlo Ancelotti does have a reputation for giving youth a chance, with the then 17 year-old Josh McEachran afforded a decent amount of playing time when the Italian was in charge of Chelsea.
Unless the Blues are able to convince him to remain at Stamford Bridge, Kyle Scott faces the biggest decision of his short career to date.
