Young Chelsea midfield player Nathaniel Chalobah is currently enjoying a season-long loan spell with Championship outfit Watford, and has impressed the likes of England Under-21 head coach Stuart Pearce, and coaches at both Stamford Bridge and the Emirates Stadium too according to the Daily Express.
The 18-year-old has recently started to feature in the U21 set up, and if his game continues to progress at its current rate, then there is sure to be quite the fight for his services come the end of this season.
The Sierra Leone born midfield player is currently contracted to the Champions League holders Chelsea, who of course shipped the youngster out to Watford for him to receive valuable playing time – something critical for the player’s development.
This naturally presents an interesting, albeit tricky, dilemma for those in charge of transfer business at Stamford Bridge this summer, for as talented as Chalobah is for his age, he is still light years away from being a regular starter in the Blues midfield – especially when you take into account the fact that Chelsea will almost certainly be recruiting a number of top level performers in his position once again this summer.
If Arsenal do come calling then, perhaps both the Blues and Chalobah should seriously consider their options.
At the Gunners, Chalobah would stand much more of a chance of getting regular game time and taking his game on to another level.
