Blues move step closer to sealing deal for Celta star.
Chelsea are hoping to bring Celta Vigo striker Iago Aspas to Stamford Bridge in the January transfer window after it emerged that the West Londoners had made an £8.5 million offer for the player, according to reports in the Daily star.

The Blues are in desperate need of new firepower in attack to put pressure on misfiring front man Fernando Torres and believe that the 25-year-old Spaniard could be just the man to do that.
Aspas is currently enjoying a prolific season in front of goal for his Primera Division club, having netted an impressive eight times in 18 matches so far this campaign, and this on the back of finding the net on 23 other occasions last season.
Interim Chelsea head coach Rafael Benitez is hopeful of persuading Celta to let the attacker move to the Bridge this month, on the condition that they then loan him immediately back to the Spaniards for the rest of this season, before the player joins Chelsea for the next campaign.
And, indications are now that the deal looks like going through before the end of the month, with sources close to Aspas saying: “The money from Chelsea is impossible to turn down.”
