Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho has told the club’s official website that he is planning to sell one more player before the end of the summer transfer window.
The Blues have already offloaded plenty of their squad this summer, with Mourinho keen to reshuffle his pack after a frustrating trophyless season last year.
While much money has been spent on new signings such as Diego Costa and Cesc Fabregas, the likes of David Luiz, Romelu Lukaku and Demba Ba have left to raise transfer funds, and they look set to be joined out of the exit door by one more member of the squad.
However, despite rumours to the contrary, Mourinho insisted it would not be Fernando Torres who makes way, though he said ‘tough’ decisions will have to be made in this respect.
“Up front we need three strikers and we have three strikers.Torres will not leave. Their different qualities are very important,” he explained.
“We do need one player to leave because we have 18 foreign players and you can only have 17. We must make that decision between me, the board and the player involved.”
“It will be a tough one because our squad is stable. It has the right numbers.”
