Chelsea are happy to sell Brazilian ace David Luiz in the summer, in order to generate funds for the potential Diego Costa deal, reports the Mirror.
The Blues desperately want a top notch new forward come the end of the season, and have earmarked a deal for Atletico Madrid’s Spanish powerhouse, which could cost them up to £35m.
Costa has bagged over 30 goals in all competitions this term, which is more than Chelsea trio Fernando Torres, Samuel Eto’o and Demba Ba combined.
David Luiz is extremely talented, but has struggled to get into the side in his favoured central defensive position, with Gary Cahill and John Terry Jose Mourinho’s first choice pairing.
He was hauled off at half-time versus Cystal Palace, and could be keen to join Barcelona, who need to replace veteran defender Carles Puyol who is leaving in the summer.
