Blues near Taison deal.
Sky Sports sources understands Chelsea have agreed a deal to sign Metalist Kharkiv midfielder Taison, but face competition for his signature from another Premier League club.
Taison revealed earlier this month that he had spoken to Chelseaabout a possible move to the club after making a visit to West London.
The Brazilian joined Metalist two-and-a-half years ago from Internacional, where he played with current Chelsea midfielder Oscar.
Metalist are reluctant to lose the attacking midfielder, but Chelsea are believed to have agreed a fee with the Ukrainian side and have agreed personal terms with Taison.
However, an unnamed Premier League club is also thought to have made an approach to Metalist for Taison and are ready to rival Chelsea for his signature.

Another nail in Frank Lampard’s Chelsea coffin?
The Blues look set to add another Brazilian to their burgeoning ranks of Samba stars, with Taison close to joining compatriots David Luiz, Ramires, Oscar and Lucas Piazon at Stamford Bridge.
If the above source is correct, and another Premier League outfit (possibly Tottenham?) are ready to challenge the West Londoners for Taison signature, surely the Brazilian contingent already at Chelsea will help persuade the midfield to opt for the European Champions.
Taison, who can play centrally or on the wing, will compete with the likes of Juan Mata, Oscar, Victor Moses and Eden Hazard for a place in the Blues’ first-team – a star-studded list of names that makes grim reading for England veteran Frank Lampard.
Lampard’s contract is up at the end of the season and it is looking increasingly likely that the 34-year-old will not be offered an extension, with LA Galaxy and uncle ‘Arry at QPR sniffing around.
If another attack-minded midfielder joins Chelsea this month, it is hard to see Blues owner Roman Abramovich sanctioning a new deal for ageing legend Lamps.
Taison has impressed in the Europa League for Metalist this season but does not boast the finest goal-scoring record, having scored just 13 times in two-and-a-half seasons with Metalist.
