Six European giants are tracking the progress of the Argentine wonderkid.
It’s something of a cliche to be named the ‘new Messi’ but Chelsea and Manchester United are certainly interested in eight-year-old Claudio Gabriel Nancufil, according to the Mirror.
AC Milan, Atletico Madrid, Barcelona and Real Madrid are also tracking the youngster but it seems to be the Premier League duo winning the race.
The comparisons with Lionel Messi have emerged because Nancufil is left-footed, superb at dribbling and is small for the starlet’s age.
The family of the talented Nancufil have already realised the boy’s potential and have employed an agency – Sueno Comunicaciones – to oversee a big money move to Europe.
Messi made a similar switch when the forward was just 11-years-old and Barca paid for treatment for the Argentina international’s growth problems.
Now considered by many to be the best player that has ever lived, the Catalans are in no way regretting their commitment to the attacker and bringing in talented players when they are very young is becoming increasingly common.
Traditionally South Americans have made the switch to Spain or Italy when they first arrive on the continent, but with the Blues and United having four and three Brazilians respectively in their squads, this thinking is shifting.
English football is a huge draw to young players and with the big money available in the Premier League there is every chance that Nancufil could well be arriving in Britain in the near future.
