Top-flight giants are monitoring Santos star’s movements.
Premier League duo Chelsea and Manchester United are set to do battle for Brazil sensation Neilton, reports the Daily Mirror.
The 19-year-old Santos playmaker first came to people’s attentions when he scored a sensational hat-trick against Palmeiras in the semi-finals of the Copa Sao Paulo Under-19s’ tournament (see above).
And, the youngster who has since be dubbed ‘the new Neymar’ because of the way he plays and his similar style haircut, is believed to only have a £5 million buy-out clause in his current contract.
That has put both United and Chelsea on alert, with the very real possibility of being able to sign the superstar on the cheap, although his current employers Santos are understood to be attempting to try and renegotiate that deal and increase the size of the clause.

Chelsea vs Wigan tickets are on sale from £20 for this Saturday’s match at Stamford Bridge.
But both Premier League clubs know that they will also need to fight off competition for the player’s signature from a whole host of other top European clubs, although Blues owner Roman Abramovich’s close relationship with super agent Pini Zahavi may give the West Londoners the edge in the race to land the forward.
