Comprehensive coverage will include highlights and magazine shows.
BT Sport have announced that they have agreed a multi-year NBA broadcast deal which will include up to seven live games per week for UK fans.
After months of waiting, the NBA and BT Sport have reached an agreement for exclusively live coverage, which will tip-off on Sunday December 1, as the Indiana Pacers take on the Los Angeles Clippers, as confirmed in the BT press release.
NBA fans will be able to access selected games which will be streamed live and for free on the BT Sport website and App, with the full schedule details of games set to be confirmed in the coming days.
The new agreement is set to see up to 200 games shown live throughout the season, which will appear across BT Sport 1, BT Sport 2 and ESPN.
It has been announced that there will be up seven live games per week throughout the regular season, as well as the first and second rounds of the NBA Playoffs, the Conference Finals and NBA Finals in June.
“BT Sport will be the new home of the NBA in the UK and Ireland,” Head of BT Sport, Simon Green, said in the press release.
“The NBA is simply the best basketball in the world. It is fast moving, high scoring and includes some the world’s most recognisable global sporting icons.
“Existing NBA fans will love our coverage, and we look forward to converting many more.”
Included in the planned coverage is both the NBA All-Star game which takes place in February, and the NBA International game between the Atlanta Hawks and Brooklyn Nets at the O2 in London on January 16.
Also included in the partnership will be several magazine shows, including NBA Action, NBA Inside Stuff, NBA Tonight and NBA Countdown providing all the pre-game and post-game analysis on offer.
