The British and Irish Lions will hope to continue their winning form on their increasingly tough tour.
Having notched up eighteen tries and three wins in their first three matches, the Lions ought to be confident of another triumph against a combined New South Wales and Queensland Country XV.
However, whilst they may have secured victory in their most recent game against Queensland Reds, it was by the far narrower victory margin of 22-12, and coach Warren Gatland will hope the sterner test will prove something of a wake-up call as his side bids to avoid complacency.
Games against Australia are on the horizon, and after a few days featuring accusations of spy rows and paranoia, it will be nice to get back to rugby again.
“For their 23 guys it is probably going to be the biggest game of their lives,” said Lions defence coach Andy Farrell.
“You can play against anyone and for the first 20-25 minutes it is always going to be a battle. I am sure they will bring a lot of intensity and guts to the game.
“Having said that, at the start of the tour it is always going to be about us, getting our combinations and game plan right in how we want to move forward.”
